its a sunday! and im at home rotting. bored bored.
anyway the pope just passed away this morning. and although i have never got to see him, or "felt his presense", i just feel that his death brings a huge loss for the catholic church. its not so much of whether i feel he is capable, but it is because his death leaves a huge void in the catholic church. a church without a head is like microsoft without bill gates. morever, the church has 1.1 billion people as compared to others. overtime, as all things will, there will be a new head and we will all move on, but from what i hear on cnn, his leagacy will be remembered forever. i will mourn with the millions of others mourning, in my prayers. my mum was watching his biography on tv and she started tearing and said, "so sad". but after all, he has lived such a fufilling life and is after all, 84 years old. so in a way, its good that he goes fast and doesn't suffer. the Catholic church stands tall in times of adversity.
over lunch, my family was discussing on whether there'll be a chinese pope. so we came to the conclusion that even priests or in this case, cardinals plays politics and so, in the near future, they'll never be a chinese or a black or an american pope. they are, after all, human.
