Today the most extraordinary thing happened. I got to see the launch of the space shuttle Atlantis! Though at a distance of like 70 miles, but its still quite a sight! The feeling going through me when i saw the shuttle was quite amazing - if i were an american i'd be so so proud.
The huge screen at the Shamu stadium was switched on the the NASA channel, and then behind the screen was the shuttle launching from the Kennedy Space Centre as a bright spark in the sky. Apparently the locals told me they used to go to the space centre during school excursions. It'd have been quite a sight to behold live. After the launching of the shuttle, the stadium erupted in applause and it was such a beautiful moment.
