Great day at sentosa on Sunday for beach soccer. The sun was shining, the people were hot and lots of friends were there for the various events. A total of 32 teams competed for the honours.

It started with the group stage where we drew 2 and won 1. From there, we won all the way straight through to the semis where we lost on penalties. Thereafter we won the 3rd place play-offs with a 1-0 hard fought victory.
In the quarters we played against a sore-loser ex NP dragon boat team who thought that size was everything. But too bad, guess they were wrong. That match ended off on a sour note as some walked off without even shaking hands.

And so, for the third prize, we received 2 Tiger beer hampers, $100 worth of vouchers and 5 girly NEXT sunglasses. I think we'd even have our photograph coming out on the NTU magazine! I only pity the 4th placed team, who will walk away with nothing after a whole day of hard fought matches except a short mention by the emcee.

Great day, great 12 hours spent at siloso beach, great fun.
