So there i was, stranded when the car engine wont start. And after flagging down a taxi for a tow-truck's number and him saying he doesnt have (which is quite funny), i hung around feeling terribly lost. Here's the dilenma:
1. Call my parents and wake them up to come rescue me.
2. Settle the problem myself
3. Wait till morning when my parents wake up so they can come rescue me.
So i tried the 2nd option - call AA, but AA insisted that i be a member, because they only serve members. And so the guy tried to persuade me to take up a 1-yr's membership of $112.something.
Then here came the saviour. After me asking him for the number of a AA related service, he said he'll help me start my engine. He drove his car in front of my bro's, and took out crocodile clips to help jump start my engine. From the sound of his engine, it sounds a little 'zeng' seriously. So glad i stopped someone who knew about cars.
Then a surprise. It wasnt a battery problem.
So he was puzzled, and walked one round the car, and sat in the car trying fancy footwork with the 3 pedals, and it still wont start! Then, enlightenment came. He decided to try the reset button, which i seriously couldnt find when i tried earlier.
And the car engine started.
So its so amazing, at 3am in the morning, when he could just say, "oh sorry i dont have the number," he stopped and helped me prevent a big disaster at 29A.
I think i'll buy him a coffee voucher and leave it at his windscreen.
DAMN glad for ppl like this around..
