Reminisce of the past in PA

This post is up EARLY specially for my buddy who used to complain that i rocked the bed too much, i rubbed my nose too loud in the middle of the night and that i didnt give a damn about him, and of course, the buddy that never shares his good food with me. Lolx..

So i went back to Police Academy (PA) last Sat with Sam for Police Week Carnival 2006. It was just a year ago that i was running all over PA trying to get things in order and now im back, as a member of public. This year's carnival is much more impressive than the previous 2 years largely because of the layout of the carnival, where it seems to have much more stuff all around because of the lack of huge empty spaces of grass. The tentages were all compact together making the carnival have a very warm feel to it. They had the same archery booth at the old PA range, with Uncle Ringo back again with their games, and Harvey Norman came to set up their huge row of make-shift stall as well.

So after saying hi to my ex-colleagues and ex-bosses from Welfare and looking around the carnival, Sam and myself made our way back to our old bunk where we stayed for 9 mths.
Of course, this place is largely deserted now, so God knows how much eerie-er it can get. But the ramblings from the 42th OCT were still on the board.

And this is our stairway to our beloved creepy toilet, where the toilet doors will just start swinging in the middle of the night while you're peeing.

And this is where 12 guys used to bathe naked each time, and also where Xu Wen erected while bathing with 11 other guys. Lol !!!

And while walking around, guess what we saw! If it were in our time, we'll probably get screwed upside down, made to run 20 rounds round the parade square, held in push-up position for over an hour, and confined!

Now guess why?

So we walked to the grand back entrance of our barracks.

And then it was on to the basketball court, where we played soccer, basketball, did our pull-ups, had our junior term bar and of course, had the killer PT session with FI Eddie.

On to the swimming pool, where trapping water for how long would determine the swimming CAT status of a cadet. Yes, a dumb procedure no doubt, but thats what Gus (Btw, word's going around that Collin Ma broke Gus's hand with his Dojo move) would do.

And who can forget, the road we take every morning to flag raising, the road that we'll run along after every tiring PT/"short run" sessions, the road we always run/march/walk along 99% of the time no matter where we go in PA..

Who can forget SPOM? The place we were all looking forward to.. Our dining in, which means our POP!!

The rest of course, is a story saved for another time.....

(for old time's and my buddy's sake..)
