Went to Thailand from last thurs to sun, spent lots of money, bought lots of things, drank lots of liquor and smoked my lungs dry, and ate hellalot!
And as soon as i got back, it was off to Bintan from wed to today, fri for UWO Retreat. It sure is one of the more fun roadtrips i've been on. We stayed at the extravagant Bintan Lagoon Resort villas. We had a total of 3 villas of different sizes; Buganvile, Angsoka & Cempaka. The Angsoka villa is huge! There's even a swimming pool attached behind the villa, which sadly, only one of us utilised it.

On the 2nd day, we took a 1 1/2 hour roadtrip to Tanjong Pinang. Navigating the hilly roads and bends at like 90km/h, the skilful driver caused many of the older folks to throw up.
As soon as we hit the town, i got turned off. The buildings are rottingly old, the air is filled with fumes from the countless motorbikes, and the whole place is just so dusty, so dirty. My sensitive nose got even more sensitive with the dust and fumes. I seriously cannot imagine myself living in such a setting. But at least i managed to get some tibits for loved ones.
The UWOs are such a fun bunch, and though i was secretly hoping for the whole retreat to end (due to the neverending nerve wrecking pressure from my boss), im already missing them, especially the aunties whom i could get along so well with. Everyone could get along so well as a group, all watching out for one another, all never hesistating to share items as seen from the team building games played. I'm so glad to have experienced such camaraderie thought the huge age gap was evidently present.
